CrashPlan Information

CrashPlan by Code42 is a backup system purchased by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  It is available to CALS faculty and staff and can only be installed on university owned computers.  You can install it as many computers as needed.

Its features include:

  • Support for Windows, Mac, and Linux
  • Automated continuous backup
  • All data is encrypted at the local computer, and stays encrypted at rest and during transmission
  • An option for unlimited backups and versions in the Cloud
  • Compression and de-duplication 
  • Able to backup from any network connection
